North Rose
Henry J. Hoad, 95, of S. Poplar St., passed away Monday, June 5, 2017.
Family and friends may call on Saturday (June 10) from 2 to 3:30 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a short service will follow at 3:30.
For those wishing, memorials may be made to North Rose Fire Department or to North Rose United Methodist Church in his memory.
Henry was born August 5, 1921 in the Town of Butler, a son to the late William and Eliza Haver Hoad. He was an Army veteran of WWII and served with the 101st Airbourne. Henry was an avid hunter and fisherman and retired from General Electric, working in Syracuse, Clyde and Auburn.
Predeceased by his sister, Bernice Cuyler. Henry was loyal and devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Betty of 68 years; 3 children, Marcia Poole of Newark, Peggy Hoad of Lyons and James Hoad of Palmyra; grandson, Derek Poole and granddaughter, Rachel Rossborough.
