Gladys A. Hammond, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 30,2017 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

 It was her wishes that there will be no prior calling hours or services.   Burial will be private in Huron Evergreen Cemetery.

Gladys was born on July 31,1922 in Butler, NY, daughter to the late Augustas and Margaret Loveless Calkins. Her family would like everyone to remember Gladys in her loving days that she enjoyed being with all. She worked in numerous jobs in her lifetime. She enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles in her spare time.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Hammond in 1970, her sister, Florence,her husband, June Penner and her brother Lester.

Gladys is survived by her children, Kevin (Bernadette) Hammond of Wolcott, Rhonda (Terry) Morgan of Wolcott; grandchildren, Kacey, Keri, Michelle, Shawn, Jeremy, Brandon, Sundra and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Ra Lynn, Ryan, Kobey, Mavrik, Cataleya, Grant, Hailey, Zaydin, Errol, Bianca, Micah, Katelynn, Josie, Emma, great-great-grandchildren, Errol,Gia and Lollah; nieces, Nancy Beedham, Shirley (Ronald) Eygnor, Judy (Len) Barnes, and Bonnie Fisher; nephew,Gary Penner; many cousins and their families.
