Robert Hauf, age 88, passed away on Sunday, November 5,2017 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Sunday, (Nov 12) at 2 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Snell Road, Geneva NY 14456. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Snell Rd, Geneva, NY 14456 or to the Waterloo VFW, 29 W. Elisha St, Waterloo, NY 13165.

Robert was born on July 18,1929 in Waterloo, a son to the late Rudolf and Pauline Henschel Hauf. He was one of eleven children. He was a member of the Waterloo VFW. He worked in maintenance for Sylvania in Seneca Falls where he retired from. He loved to hunt and trap but gardening was his passion. Bob rarely missed a school or sports event for his grandchildren.

Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian B. Goodman Hauf of Lyons; daughter, Kathleen (Gordon) Pickering of Lyons; son, Robert L. (Rebecca) Hauf of Marion; grandchildren, Charles (Rebecca) Pickering of Skaneateles, Denise (Jon) Moore of E. Syracuse, Robert W. (Kaylie Wood) Hauf of Denver, Co, Daniel K. Hauf of Marion and Emily S. Hauf of Marion; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Charles, Corey and Lillian; sister, Olga Brand of Seneca Falls; brother, Wilson Hauf of Seneca Falls; many brothers and sisters in-law,nieces,nephews and cousins.
