Joyce Tomer, 95, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 13,2017 at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, NY.
Joyce was born on March 28,1922 in New York City, a daughter to the late Frederick and Grace Darling. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Joseph H. and son-in-law, Douglas W. Meisch.
She is survived by her children, Corinne (Doug) Mott, Brian (Marcia) Tomer, Diane (Alan) Smith; sister-in-law Joan Tomer Ackerman and close family friend, Chuck Harvey; 6 grandchildren, Erica (Doug) Stay, Chris (Heather) Mott, Joshua Meisch, Kara (Mike) Marquez, Joseph Meisch, and Jillian (Brian) Tomer Henry and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Joyce’s life on January 6, 2018, 1pm at the First Reformed Church, 18 Maple Avenue, Sodus, NY 14551.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in Joyce’s memory to the First Reformed Church, 18 Maple Avenue, Sodus, NY 14551.
Arrangements have been made by Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main Street, North Rose, NY 14516.
