Shirley M. George, 92, of Newark Terrace, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

Family and friends may call Friday, (Feb. 2) from 4 to 7 pm at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be held Saturday (Feb. 3) at 11 am.  Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to Lyons Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons, NY 14489 in Shirley’s memory. 

Shirley was born in Lyons on September 25, 1925, a daughter to the late Dwight and Gladys Harrington Munn.  She retired from Wayne County Social Services after 13 years of employment. 

Predeceased by her husband Howard E. George in 2004 and sister, Joanne Lauster in 2014. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Ronald (Vicki) George of Newark, Donald (Barbara) George of Rochester and Nancy (Douglas) Lowe of Lyons; 5 grandchildren, Deborah, Brian, Cindy, Andrew, and Kristen; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Vincent of NE; brother-in-law, David Lauster of Lyons; several nieces and nephews.
