Carole Louise Delaney Murphy passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018.

Carole was born on December 11, 1933 in Jersey Shore, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn Delaney and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Murphy in 1998.  They were married in love for 44 years.

To cherish her precious memories are her three children, Kim (Keith) Sholly of Lyons, NY, Kraig Murphy (Gayle Davis) of Woodstock, VT, and Dawn Murphy of Lyons, NY; sisters, Hollace (Thomas) Spence of NC, Constance (Kent) Williamson of PA; nine grandchildren, Kendra, Kollyn, Kadi, Kevin, Fred, Daniel, Evan, Hollace, and Elisabeth; fifteen great-grandchildren, Kendall (who shared her birthday with Great Grandma), Kaiden, Karter, Ava, Owen, Kaleb, Hunter, Connor, Brady, Alexandra, Rebecca, Natalie, Avery, Brooks, and Bohdan; as well as many special and loving nieces and nephews.

Carole was an active member of the Grace Episcopal Church.  She was a 1951 graduate of Lyons Senior High School.  Carole was a dedicated employee for Dr. Myron Carmer for 32 years.  During her retirement she enjoyed delivering flowers for the Lyons Floral Shoppe.  Summers were spent at the family cottage on Seneca Lake.  She loved boat rides, floating in inner tubes, dock "talks", and playing many games of 500 rummy.  Carole was a friend to everyone she met and touched many lives with her warm personality, beautiful smile, and her pretty blue eyes.  She was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Her family was her whole world.  She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and dear friend Maize.  Carole's favorite verse was, "this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!"  "Well done, good, and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your master."  Matthew 25:23

A memorial service honoring Carole will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 7 Phelps St., Lyons, NY.
