Robert G. Thompson, 77, of Catchpole Rd., passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital after a long fought battle of illnesses.

Family and friends may call Sunday (June 3) from 2-6 pm at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where a funeral service will be held Monday (June 4) at 11 am.  Burial will be in Rose Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homeless Veterans of Upstate NY.

Bob was born February 16, 1941 in Addison, NY a son to the late George and Roselyn Frost Thompson.  In 1961 he married Judith Ann White, having been married for 57 years. He was a veteran of the Army, serving from 1958-1961.  Bob retired from the University of Rochester after 37 years working in the Power Plant.

He is survived by his wife Judy; 3 children, Kathy McQuown (Frank Ryan, Jr.), Robert G. Thompson II (Karen Greening) and Terry L. Thompson (Michelle Addy); grandchildren, Benjamin, Zakery, Krystal, Francis, Devon, Matthew, Cody, Derek, Jacob and Lee; multiple great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all of those who considered him as father and grandfather; step-grandchildren, Guy, Tiffany, Karen, Nikki, Michael, Frank III, Timothy, Jessica, Kristy, Amber, Charlie, Jason and Joey; 2 brothers, Sylvester (Jerry) Thompson of AZ and Benjamin (Chiquita) Thompson of North Rose; sister, Jean (Wayne) Owen of AZ; 5 brother and sister-in-laws, Gordon (Barb) White of North Rose, Gary White of Wolcott, Caroline White of North Rose, Larry (Rose) White of North Rose and Sheila (Robert) Nowak of Wolcott.
