Carole M. VanFleet, 76, sadly passed away on December 4, 2018, at Rochester General Hospital with her family by her side.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday (December 8) at 11 a.m. at the Wolcott Presbyterian Church.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Wolcott Presbyterian Church, 11988 West Main Street, Wolcott, NY 14590.

Carole was born on April 7, 1942 in New Bern, N.C.; the daughter of the late Benjamin T. and Doris M. (Sanders) Moore.Carole graduated from New Bern High School in 1960 and then married and moved to New York with her family in 1962. Her life's work was building a successful apple farm with her husband and raising their family. Carole was a lifetime member of the Wolcott Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. She enjoyed a full and happy life traveling with her husband and spending time with family. She loved gardening, reading, and her family holiday celebrations. Her loving and caring nature will be missed, but her warm spirit will live on in the hearts of all that loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Phillips (Glenn Williams); two sons David (Terry) VanFleet and Ken (Karla) VanFleet; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren all of Wolcott, NY; brother, Benjamin (Cheryl) T. Moore Jr. of New Bern, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Carole was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Kenneth L. VanFleet; and her sister, Sandra M. Haddock Toler.
